Ever since I was little, I’ve always found myself gazing up at the stars in awe, especially, and I say especially, by Orion’s Belt. Even when you live in the city, the belt is clearly visible and is the easiest to spot. Orion’s Belt is made up of three stars that lined up in a row, so go out and look up! (make sure it’s night time first, okay? haha) Pretty easy to find, right? These three stars named Alnitak, Alnilam and Mintaka are so mesmerizing and fascinating, to me, at least. And I happen to have 2 siblings, so it kinda relate to me in a significant, special yet weird way.
I first heard of the name Orion’s Belt from the movie Men in Black. Remember the dying alien inside a man’s head in the coroner’s room? and the cat named Orion? Hooked ever since.
And I swear, stargazing is the most romantic date idea for me. There is nothing more romantic than getting lost together in the vastness of the universe, and that feeling knowing that we are all living underneath the same big sky.
